September 2007
Written on September 1, 2007
Just returned from Jackson Hole, WY where I had a one man show at Horizon Fine Art. The town was buzzing with people for the Fall Arts Festival, my favorite time of year to enjoy the Grand Tetons. The first three paintings to sell were a Camden Maine boat scene, aspen trees and a river scene from Paris. Three diverse subjects in what most people think of as a ‘cowboy’ town. Just goes to show that people like all subjects no matter where they are and it confirms my belief that you should only paint what you find interesting. Varying subject matter keeps me open and loose. Why get in a rut when you have a choice not too? Thanks, Barbara for all your hard work!!
I am also taking on the job of President of the American Impressionist Society. Let me know if you would like more information on the great organization. I am looking for some talented artists to join and submit for the show in 2008 at Coda Gallery in Palm Desert, CA.

Mary Ann, thanks so much for your comments. I am looking forward to the New Year. We are moving from Ky to Santa Fe in the next 2 months so I am busy and excited to be in an art town. Keep in touch. Tom
When you don’t have a clue on the topic, don’t even try to write anything! First find out what people are talking about, and then write what you think!!!
