Thinking of the Southwest

Written on October 29, 2007

Just finished working on my ‘Cow” collection for the Dogwood Gallery in Lexington, KY. Contemplating our move to the great southwest, Santa Fe New Mexico. I have lived in Kentucky all my life and this is a huge move for me and Jonna, my wife. We have wanted to be there since our first trip in 1993. I hope to do many paintings there, not just the New Mexican landscape. Also, taking the position of President of The American Impressionist Society is exciting and can’t wait to get busy with that.

There is no retirement for an artist, it’s your way of living so there is no end to it.   Quote, Henry Moore

I have seen your work at Dogwood Gallery in Lexington(whereI live and
Maintain a studio in Victorian Square) and I love it. Are you going to do
any workshops this year? I know from your blog that you are in the
process of moving West Young Man…so I am afraid you might not
be teaching right now. Let me hear from you if you are.

I have also been taken with one of your large paintings of the creek
reflections and cows in the background…stunning!
