I just completed my second trip to Austin, Texas and the Wizard Academy. I am pictured here painting the Dulcinea Chapel three months ago. This time however I was there to do a program called ‘Di Vinci’ and the 40 Answers . The people attending were not artists, however they are some of the most dynamic and talented people in North America. The former chief engineer of the Space Shuttle program gave the presentation and WOW! a more creative and dynamic person is Mark Fox. I am now eqipped with a body of information to increase my creativity, production and sale of my work. I am truely walking on air and can’t wait ti be in the studio. Stay tuned!!

The Nomadas del Arte show was great. Many fine painters represented and one of mine sold! Always good news. I am happy to say that I now have a gallery in Santa Fe. It is Mountain Trails Gallery and I am excited to be working with a great group of people there. I don’t have any work there at the moment, however I am busy working on changing that very soon.

Also, looking forward to the National Oil Painters of America show in Missoula Montana on May 2. My painting ‘Gentle Flight’ was selected for the show. You can see this painting on the site under ‘landscapes’.

I am also pleased to announce I will be a juror for the Hoosier Salon Show at the Indiana State Museum on May 13 and 14. This is a real honor for me and I am really looking forward being there for that event. Also, I have been chosen to be in the Oil Painters of America national show in Missoula, MT on May 4. Lot of things happening!!

Much is happening in my world. We found a home in Santa Fe only minutes from town with an awesome mountain view. I can’t wait to smell the pinon wood burning in our outdoor fireplace. It is very emotional to think of leaving our home town, however Jonna and I are ready for an adventure! We will be going the first of March and there is lots happening right here! Miller Gallery in Hyde Park near Cincinnati will be carrying a great selection of my work. The gallery in Lexington, Dogwood Gallery has changed hands and will in the very capable hands of Jeane Owens who has been at the helm of Gallery B and will be moving the gallery to the 145 West Main St. location of Dogwood in downtown Lexington, KY. and will be opening January 7. I am also looking forward to my new position as President of the American Impressionist Society. Thanks and Happy New Year, I love hearing from you. Tom

Just finished working on my ‘Cow” collection for the Dogwood Gallery in Lexington, KY. Contemplating our move to the great southwest, Santa Fe New Mexico. I have lived in Kentucky all my life and this is a huge move for me and Jonna, my wife. We have wanted to be there since our first trip in 1993. I hope to do many paintings there, not just the New Mexican landscape. Also, taking the position of President of The American Impressionist Society is exciting and can’t wait to get busy with that.

Just returned from Jackson Hole, WY where I had a one man show at Horizon Fine Art. The town was buzzing with people for the Fall Arts Festival, my favorite time of year to enjoy the Grand Tetons. The first three paintings to sell were a Camden Maine boat scene, aspen trees and a river scene from Paris. Three diverse subjects in what most people think of as a ‘cowboy’ town. Just goes to show that people like all subjects no matter where they are and it confirms my belief that you should only paint what you find interesting. Varying subject matter keeps me open and loose. Why get in a rut when you have a choice not too? Thanks, Barbara for all your hard work!!

I am also taking on the job of President of the American Impressionist Society. Let me know if you would like more information on the great organization. I am looking for some talented artists to join and submit for the show in 2008 at Coda Gallery in Palm Desert, CA.
